Online Delivery Service
All orders under €100 are subject to a €10 delivery charge to anywhere on the Island of Ireland or Mainland UK.
We use an overnight courier for delivery in Ireland.
We use a two day service for mainland UK deliveries.
Orders are dispatched the next working day after the order is placed; however we do not dispatch orders on Fridays; therefore orders placed Thursday to Sunday will be dispatched on Mondays.
Future dates can also be selected, bear in mind that deliveries in Ireland can only be made Tuesday-Friday. Deliveries in mainland UK only Wednesday to Friday.
Please ensure that the delivery address you give is one where there is someone to accept day-time deliveries.
You will receive an email letting you know that the delivery is on the way and you will also receive a text message on the day of delivery to ensure you can accept it.
In the event of extreme weather or other events out of our control (eg civil actions, delivery vehicle breakdown etc) we cannot be responsible for any delivery delays.
Online Promotions & Email Offers
Where we have a promotion, such as a discount off a product or a free gift with each purchase, these offers are only available online and not in any of our shops, unless otherwise indicated. This refers to communication about the offer either on the website, by email or both
Once you place your order, we will review it and put it through for processing. If we notice any missing information or anticipate any issues, we will get in touch with you to ask further questions. Otherwise we will deliver as soon as possible.
Your payment is taken as you place your order so you will always be charged at the rate advertised at the point of ordering.
Products may be withdrawn for sale from this website at any stage without prior notification. We also reserve the right to amend prices of products without prior notification. All prices on this website are in Euro, and that is what will be debited from your debit / credit card. If you are purchasing using a non-Euro credit card, the relevant exchange rate is applied by your bank and not by Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd.
The “My Account” Feature
If you decide to opt in to the “my account” feature, your billing and shipping details are stored as well as your previous purchase information. Debit / Credit card information is not stored, for your security. Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd may decide to use your purchase history information for future offers or promotions.
Farmhouse cheese is variable and sometimes the cheese we’ve advertised may not be in stock or suitable to send. If this is the case we’ll substitute a similar cheese to an equivalent monetary value. Your payment will at this time have been processed and there will be no change to the amount you have been charged. If you would rather cancel your order than receive a substitution, please tell us when you place your order.
We take great pride in the quality and condition of our cheese and it should reach you in the best possible condition. When you receive your box of cheese, please open it right away, loosen the wrapping around the cheeses and inspect them. If you aren’t happy with what you find, please call us right away on 046 924 5110 and we will do our best to put it right. If you’d like a replacement order, we can send that out for you or if you would rather just have your money back, we can do that too.
Likewise if the box of cheese has been damaged during delivery, please call us as soon as possible and if possible email us pictures. Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods passes to you, as the buyer, on delivery so please contact us as soon as possible. No claim for damage or deterioration after delivery can be accepted unless we’re informed straight away. Nor can we accept any responsibility for quality deterioration due to the following delivery problems:
1. Incorrect addresses
2. Unopened parcels
3. Delayed deliveries due to weather problems.
4. Gifts to recipients who have gone away or are unable to receive parcels.
We don’t ask you to return anything perishable but may ask for non perishable products to be returned to us and if so we will reimburse you for postage.
We accept payment online by credit card and Paypal. Your payment is processed via a fully authorised Payment Service which ensures that all your information remains totally confidential. In fact we never see any of the card number ourselves.
Payment is taken as you place your order and if the payment does not authorise successfully, your order will not be successfully processed. Please check that you receive not only a confirmation of your order but also a confirmation of your payment by email. If you have not received one of these, your order may not be placed successfully.
Sheridans Cheesemongers Ltd reserves the right not to accept or to cancel any order once accepted, without penalty.
PRIVACY & YOUR INFORMATION
We retain details necessary for successful fulfilment of your order and may use them for marketing purposes for example emailing or posting you information about seasonal offers. These include: name, address, telephone number and email address of sender, name, address, telephone number and email address of recipient. We do not sell addresses to any other companies. We will never cold call you for marketing purposes. Credit card numbers are not retained after payment has been received.
