Chateau Plaisance, Fronton, Southern French Blend – organic
In 1991, Marc Penavayre took over and expanded Chateau Plaisance, his generations-old family estate. In the early 2000s Marc turned to a more environmentally friendly way of wine making: no chemicals, no fertilisers or weed killers, and spontaneous fermentation with indigenous
yeasts. The main grape grown here is negrette, a local variety that produces deeply coloured wines with a distinctive spiciness.
