Isigny Sainte-Mère is a historic French dairy cooperative based in Normandy, bringing together local milk producers from the Isigny and Sainte-Mère-Église regions. Founded in 1980 through the merger of several cooperatives, its roots go back much further, reflecting a long-standing tradition of Normandy dairy farming. The cooperative is internationally recognised for its high-quality butter, cream, and cheeses made from rich, pasture-fed cow’s milk influenced by the coastal terroir. Products such as Isigny butter and Camembert are known for their exceptional flavour and texture, supported by protected designation of origin (PDO) status for several items. Isigny Sainte-Mère continues to operate as a cooperative owned by its farmers, combining traditional Normandy know-how with modern quality standards and strong export presence worldwide.
