Paul Ginglinger Riesling

Michel Ginglinger took over from his father Paul in 2000 and represents the thirteenth generation of Ginglinger winemakers in Eguisheim, where the family have been making wines since 1636. Michel’s wines are dry, age-worthy and classic in style, balancing minerality with aromatic freshness. This small family-run domaine produces just 80,000 bottles a year and is regarded as one of the real stars of Alsace

Paul Ginglinger

Alsace, France

Domaine Paul Ginglinger is a family-owned wine estate located in Eguisheim in the Alsace region of France. With origins dating back to 1610, the domaine has been run by successive generations of the Ginglinger family and today is led by Michel Ginglinger, who took over in 2000 after international winemaking experience. The estate farms approximately 12–13 hectares of vineyards on marl, limestone, and sandstone soils, including parcels in the Grand Cru Eichberg and Pfersigberg sites. Certified organic, the domaine focuses on producing precise, terroir-driven Alsace wines across a range that includes Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Crémant d’Alsace, and late-harvest selections. Winemaking at the estate emphasises purity, balance, and clear expression of site, with careful vineyard work and gentle cellar practices aimed at preserving freshness and mineral character.
