Description

Cheese & Red Wine Hamper

Cheese & Red Wine Hamper includes:

Comte Le Fort: Petite’s 10 month Comté cheese you can eat at breakfast, in sandwiches, on toast and salads. Melting brilliantly, this cheese is the perfect way to top vegetable gratins, and add as a main ingredient to fondue.
Cashel Blue: Ireland’s favourite and most famous farmhouse cheese! The flavour is creamy and sweet with a mild tang making it perfect for crusty bread with Sheridan Onion Marmalade or in recipes calling for blue cheese.
Sheridans Rye & Lindseed Crackers:
Our Rye and Linseed crackers are handmade for us in West Cork. We use Rye Flour, stoneground at Macroom Oatmeal Mills in Co Cork, and unbleached wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil with brown linseeds (flaxseeds) baked into the mix.
Prunotto Acacia Honey:  Our Acacia honey is specially selected for us by producer Prunotto and is a mild floral honey. Floral and delicate. Excellent with white rinded and blue cheeses, yogurt or as an everyday sweetener.
Sheridans Chutney: This apple and plum chutney is made for us by Janet Drew in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. We worked together with Janet for some time to come up with a chutney which was mellow enough to accompany nearly any type of cheese you can think of! We’re pretty sure that we’ve succeeded and hope you’ll agree once you try it.
St Killians: This full-fat, mould ripened cheese can be instantly identified by its hexagonal shape. St. Killians has a fresh, grassy aromas with a mild, salty butter flavour and mushroomy rind. The paste can range from semi soft to nearly liquid when fully ripe.
Sheridans Red Wine:
Organic wine. Vibrant and full aromas of cherry, dark raspberry, plum and black tea. Juicy and fruit-driven, with just enough structure to keep it refreshing. An absolute joy to drink. Goes well with red meat.

Meet Our Producers

Sheridans Cheesemongers

Kells, Co. Meath

Sheridans Cheesemongers is owned and run by Kevin and Seamus Sheridan who began selling Irish farmhouse cheese on a market stall in Galway over 25 years ago. Since then, Sheridans has grown to become a trusted name in Irish cheese and artisan foods, known both at home and around the world. Today, you'll find Sheridans counters in Dunnes Stores, standalone Sheridans shops in Galway, Meath, and Dublin, as well as a busy wholesale department selling Irish farmhouse cheeses to shops, restaurants, and cheesemongers across the globe. Over the years our ethos has remained the same: great cheese and passionate customer service. Sheridans has built strong, lasting relationships with Irish cheese makers and continues to champion new producers. Every cheese is chosen for its quality, but also for its provenance — reflecting the land, the people, and the traditions behind it. Sheridans sees its role as a bridge between the cheesemakers and customers, connecting people to the stories, places, and craft behind every cheese.
