Domaine Plaisance Fronton Le Rouge Southern French Blend

Fronton is an appellation in southwest France for rustic red wines (around 85 percent of output) plus rosé. The vineyard area lies around the town of the same name, just to the north of Toulouse. At least 50 percent of any Fronton vineyard must be planted with the local grape variety Negrette.

Domaine Plaisance Penavayre

Fronton, France

Domaine Plaisance Penavayre is a family-run organic winery located in Villaudric, in the Fronton appellation of southwest France. The estate has been in the Penavayre family for several generations and is now led by Marc and Emmanuelle Penavayre, who focus on expressing the character of the region’s signature grape, Négrette. The vineyard is farmed organically, with careful hand-harvesting and low-intervention winemaking to preserve freshness and terroir. Wines are fermented with native yeasts and produced with minimal additives, resulting in vibrant, aromatic reds and rosés that reflect the clay and gravel soils of Fronton. Domaine Plaisance Penavayre is widely regarded for its elegant, terroir-driven wines and its commitment to sustainable viticulture, combining traditional family farming with a modern organic approach.
