Col d’Orcia

Col d’Orcia is a historic family-owned winery in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy, best known for producing Brunello di Montalcino. The estate dates back to the 1700s and has been part of the Cinzano family since 1973. Today it is one of the largest and most respected producers in the region, with vineyards on the southern slopes of Montalcino. Col d’Orcia is widely recognised for its commitment to organic viticulture, having converted the entire estate to certified organic farming in 2010. Often described as an “organic island” in Montalcino, the winery focuses on expressing the character of Sangiovese through traditional winemaking and sustainable vineyard practices. Certainly one of our favourite wine producers at Sheridans.
