This Sliced chorizo is made by Martinez Somalo, a family business producing Spanish charcuterie since 1900. Martínez Somalo Sliced Chorizo Vela is made from minced pork mixed with smoked paprika, garlic, salt, and spices, then stuffed into a thin natural casing to form its traditional “vela” (candle-shaped) format. It is slowly dry-cured in controlled conditions, allowing the flavours to concentrate and the texture to firm while developing its characteristic deep red colour. A ready-sliced chorizo with a balanced smoky-paprika heat and a firm, sliceable texture typical of classic Spanish cured sausage.
