Nino Barraco

Sicily, Italy

Barraco is a family-run winery based in Marsala, in western Sicily, founded in 2004 by winemaker Nino Barraco. The estate is dedicated to expressing the character of the region through native Sicilian grape varieties and a deep connection to the local landscape. Working across six distinct vineyard sites around Marsala, the winery focuses on organic farming, dry-farming practices, and minimal-intervention winemaking. Each wine is crafted to reflect the unique soils, coastal influence, and Mediterranean climate of western Sicily. Barraco’s philosophy centres on authenticity, experimentation, and respect for nature, producing distinctive wines that capture the identity and energy of Sicily’s historic Marsala territory.
