Description

Parra Jimenez Tempranillo

From one of Europe's absolute largest producers of organic wine, this light, fresh and fruity red wine comes from the Tempranillo grape, which is especially known from Ribera del Duero. Aromas of red berries such as strawberries and raspberries with a slight herbal spice. Also fruity and light on the palate – again red berries – but with fresh acidity that gives the wine a bit of liveliness. Stalked and mild tannin.

Meet Our Producers

Bodegas Parra Jiménez

La Mancha, Spain

Bodegas Parra Jiménez is a family-run organic winery located in Las Mesas, in the La Mancha region of central Spain. Founded in 1993 by brothers Francisco, Javier, and Luis Parra, the estate has been a pioneer of certified organic viticulture in the region since its inception and later expanded into biodynamic farming practices under Demeter certification. The winery works across extensive high-altitude vineyards in La Mancha, including sites such as Entresendas and Cuesta Colorá, where soils of clay, limestone, and alluvial deposits contribute to expressive, fruit-driven wines. With a strong focus on sustainability, the estate operates as an integrated farm, combining grape growing with other agricultural activities such as livestock and complementary crops to support a closed ecological system.
