Chablis Village Francois de Nicolay

About This Drink

This classic (and classy) Chablis, with its floral and honeyed aromas and with the intense minerality perfectly balanced by the elegant structure given by oak ageing, is definitely a wine not to be missed. Try it with oysters on the aperitif, or with some turbot or halibut, or even with some cheese.

Story

The Chablis region is the northernmost wine district of the Burgundy region in France. The cool climate of this region produces wines with more acidity and flavours less fruity than Chardonnay wines grown in warmer climates.

Producer

Francois de Nicolay is the ‘maison de négoce’ of Chandon de Briailles. They source grapes from trusted farmers that work with their same ethos (organic or biodynamic), covering many different Burgundian appellations and in a couple of cases also experimenting outside the regional borders. Wines of incredible purity of fruit, in the classic Chandon de Briailles style .
