Galway Cheese Shop

Our Galway cheese shop is located on the lovely St. Nicholas’s Church square in the centre of the city where a farmers market is held every Saturday. This is where Kevin & Seamus Sheridans first started selling cheese in 1995.

The cheese shop and wine bar are run by cheesemongers and winemongers who will gladly talk you through our cheeses, wines and other wonderful array of products.

A visit to Sheridans on a Saturday is a real insight into a vibrant Galway and to how food has been traded in the city for hundreds of years.

A visit during the week is a more relaxed affair allowing you to chat to one of our mongers and browse at ease through our shelves of wonderful foods, taste and learn about our wide selection of farmhouse cheeses, olives, local organic fruit and veg, Irish and European charcuterie and lots more of our favourite foods. Our Wine Bar & Shop is located above the cheese shop and offers a wide selection of Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese wines selected exclusively for Sheridans.
